Zero Caliber 2 Brings Remastered VR Shooter to PlayStation VR2 This October

XReal Games confirmed during this week's VR Games Showcase that the cinematic first-person shooter Zero Caliber 2 is heading to PlayStation VR2 in October, bringing the remastered edition rather than the original Meta Quest version.

XReal Games announced that Zero Caliber 2 is coming to PlayStation VR2 this October. The confirmation came via a new teaser trailer premiered during this week's VR Games Showcase, following a social media tease from XReal the day prior.

Notably, the PS VR2 release will be the remastered edition that previously launched on SteamVR, rather than the original Meta Quest version. According to the PlayStation Store listing and trailer, this version brings a substantial visual overhaul, enhanced AI, and a significant increase in enemy count compared to the Quest original.

The first Zero Caliber game arrived on PS VR2 in December 2025, according to the source, and currently holds a 4.08 rating on the PlayStation Store from 558 ratings. UploadVR's reviewer Pete Austin, who evaluated both the original and remastered versions, noted that while the basic mechanics remain familiar, the remastered edition's improvements are significant — particularly in visual fidelity, enemy density, and AI behavior.

The remastered edition is described as offering the full Zero Caliber 2 experience as intended, with upgraded combat scenarios including larger enemy groups and more dynamic firefights. Players can wishlist Zero Caliber 2 now on the PlayStation Store ahead of its October launch on PS VR2.
