Former PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida has shared his standout picks from Tokyo Game Show, and among them is Hair Removal Salon Simulator, a game that tasks players with removing body hair from clients using tools like sticky tape, swords, burning, and even a mini goat.

Yoshida, who produced iconic PS1 titles during his time at Sony, has become known for championing indie games. Since leaving Sony in 2025, he has continued promoting independent developers through interviews and social media recommendations.

In an interview with 4Gamer, Yoshida described Hair Removal Salon Simulator as combining task-based gameplay with dark humor. "It's like Power Wash Simulator except you relentlessly remove hair from hairy men," Yoshida said. "It's creepy, but it feels good." He praised how the game built satisfaction around its premise, noting he "liked how the setting and the grotesque appearance were built on top of the basic feeling of satisfaction from making someone clean."

Yoshida's Tokyo Game Show recommendations also included Finding Polka, first-person horror title Haunted Streamer, and Sonic Pico Park, an indie collaboration featuring Sonic the Hedgehog. His continued advocacy for indie development reflects his long history of supporting smaller studios, a practice that began during his PlayStation tenure.
