Zelda Switch 2 Console and Hori Electric Ocarina Revealed in First In-Person Gallery
Nintendo's 40th anniversary Zelda console and licensed electric Ocarina from Hori are now on display in Tokyo ahead of Ocarina of Time's November release.

Nintendo is preparing major releases to celebrate the Legend of Zelda's 40th anniversary, with both a themed console and special instrument variants coming to market.
A new Zelda-themed Switch 2 console will launch on October 29, 2026, followed by the release of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on November 5, 2026. Nintendo has also arranged for two physical Ocarina variants to accompany the game: a standard instrument from Nintendo itself and an electric licensed version made by Hori.
Both the console and Hori's electric Ocarina are currently on display at an event in Tokyo. The display gives players their first detailed look at the hardware in person before release.
The 40th anniversary console has been described as "absolutely gorgeous," while the Hori electric Ocarina is similarly well-designed. The physical instruments represent a significant tangible tie-in for the remake, expanding the anniversary celebration beyond digital gameplay.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time will support VRR in docked mode when played on Switch 2. The remake marks a substantial reimagining of the N64 classic, bringing updated graphics and modernized controls to Nintendo's current generation hardware.
