The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Price Leaks at $59.99 USD
The Australian Nintendo Store briefly revealed pricing for the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake before the listing was removed. The digital version is priced at $94.95 AUD, which converts to approximately $59.99 USD and £49.99 GBP.
Ahead of Nintendo's Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, pricing for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake has surfaced through an accidental early listing on the Australian Nintendo Store. According to reporting from Insider Gaming and Nintendo Life, the digital version was briefly listed at $94.95 AUD before Nintendo removed the entire game listing from the store.
The Australian price converts to approximately $59.99 USD or £49.99 GBP for the digital download, based on currency calculations provided by multiple sources. Physical copies are expected to cost an additional $10 in each region, suggesting $69.99 USD and £59.99 GBP for physical editions. However, these conversion estimates have not been officially confirmed by Nintendo for regions outside Australia.
The $59.99 price point positions the Ocarina of Time remake as a mid-range Switch 2 title. According to GamesRadar+, this pricing sits between other Switch 2 releases: Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders launched at $50, while premium titles like Donkey Kong Bananza, Pokemon Pokopia, and Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave released at $70. Mario Kart World stands as the only $80 Switch 2 title released to date.
The pricing suggests Nintendo views this as a more substantial remake than Star Fox, which launched at $50 this year despite also being a Nintendo 64 remake. GamesRadar+ notes the $60 price may indicate the Ocarina of Time remake is closer to a traditional remake than the extensive reimaginations seen in Resident Evil or Final Fantasy VII Remake.
New Zealand's Nintendo Store also briefly showed the digital version at $104.95 NZD before removal. The sources note that pricing for other regions, including North America and Europe, has not yet been officially confirmed by Nintendo.
Nintendo has already confirmed that today's Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct will include additional details about the Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2. The accidental price reveal came ahead of the scheduled announcement, following Nintendo's pattern of keeping specific pricing details under embargo until official presentations.
