Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember Receives March 2027 Release Date and New Trailer

Publisher Koei Tecmo has officially set a release date for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember. Players on the Nintendo Switch 2 and other platforms can purchase and play the game starting on March 4, 2027. The title was originally revealed earlier in the summer, but a concrete release date was not previously provided.

Developed by Team NINJA, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is a dark fantasy action role-playing game set during the Three Kingdoms period. The story follows a martial arts warrior seeking vengeance against Cao Cao after their village is destroyed. Players navigate a world overrun by demons inspired by legendary Chinese classics while exploring famous battlefields such as the Battle of Changban and the Battle of the Red Cliffs.

The game features evolved combat mechanics built around well-timed deflects to neutralize enemy attacks and a fast-paced blend of offense and defense. Players can utilize powerful Insight Skills to evade incoming strikes, use the terrain for counterattacks, and shift combat momentum. Exploration involves three-dimensional movement across open fields, mountain fortresses, and hidden enemy bases. Players can also raise their morale by challenging foes, recruit enemy officers to weaken opposing factions, and employ various strategies.

Alongside the release date announcement, a new trailer for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember has been released. Koei Tecmo also recently brought the original Wo Long to the Nintendo Switch 2 platform.
