This Week in Switch 2 covers Tokyo Game Show 2026 with Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy previews

Shacknews' This Week in Switch 2 podcast returned this week with a special episode recorded from Tokyo Game Show 2026. Host Asif Khan was joined by Donovan at the show, where they covered the latest Nintendo news and game announcements from the event.

The episode featured previews of several upcoming titles for Switch 2, including Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy 7 Revelation. Donovan also shared his impressions of LEGO Batman on the console following his time with the game.

The podcast, which began during the Switch 2's launch year to provide weekly impressions of the hardware, games, and operating system, continues to be a regular feature from Shacknews. Rather than rushing reviews, the publication chose to offer ongoing commentary on the console and its library throughout its first year and beyond.

Shacknews has also expanded the availability of This Week in Switch 2 episodes to audio format across major platforms including Spotify, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music/Audible, Player FM, Podchaser, and Apple Podcasts. The publication maintains free interactive maps for several titles on Shackmaps.com, including Hollow Knight: Silksong, Mario Kart World, and Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

New episodes air weekly on the This Week in Switch 2 topic page at Shacknews.
