Bandai Namco is shutting down the live service game Synduality: Echo of Ada, with the online servers scheduled to go offline in May 2027. Content updates for the PvPvE extraction shooter will cease beyond the following month. Launched in 2025, the title featured anime-styled characters and mecha battles, but it struggled to find a solid foothold due to lukewarm reviews and muted player reception. The game was even included on PS Plus Essential in December 2025, a move that often points to an online-focused project facing health struggles.

Despite the online closure, Bandai Namco is avoiding a complete permanent shutdown of the project. The publisher is currently developing an update that will transform Synduality into an offline game. While players will no longer compete against other users online, the offline version will retain its core gameplay structure as an extraction shooter. This upcoming update will be completely free for anyone who already owns the title. Additional information regarding how the offline conversion will function is expected to be shared in the near future.
