Stellar Blade Complete Edition adds frame generation toggle for Switch 2 launch
Shift Up will let players toggle frame generation on or off when Stellar Blade Complete Edition arrives for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, responding to feedback about the demo's mandatory setting.

Shift Up has announced that Stellar Blade Complete Edition will include a frame generation toggle at launch for Nintendo Switch 2, addressing player concerns raised during the recent demo.
The demo currently forces frame generation on at all times, which players found problematic. Some elements remain at 30fps while others use frame generation to attempt 60fps, though performance dips below that target and adds latency to gameplay.
In a statement, Shift Up said: "Thank you to everyone who has played the Stellar Blade Complete Edition demo on Nintendo Switch 2 so far. We've been watching your feedback closely and decided to add a Frame Generation toggle at release. We hope this lets you play the way that looks and feels best to you."
The toggle gives players control over how the game balances visual quality and performance on Switch 2. Stellar Blade joins other upcoming Switch 2 titles experimenting with frame generation, including Dragon's Dogma 2, which also offers a toggle option.
Stellar Blade Complete Edition launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026. The action RPG is currently available on PS5 and PC via Steam.
