Squingle Arcade Is Available Now For Free On PC VR

Squingle Arcade, which is the quickplay version of the award-winning fluid-maze puzzler Squingle, is available now on SteamVR. The game previously launched earlier this year on Quest. Arcade adapts the original puzzle game mechanic into a faster-paced, free-to-play competitive spatial experience.

Players guide glowing orbs through an amorphous gel-like structure while collecting color pods, defeating enemies, and avoiding hazards. The rapid gameplay loop lets players chase high scores on leaderboards. The title includes over sixty different levels of varying difficulty, and developer Dr. Benjamin Outram has a free downloadable content pack with over twenty additional levels in development that is expected to launch soon.

The release features asynchronous multiplayer and ghost racing, letting players chase the times of friends or top global players. Completing mazes grants Star Orbs, an in-game currency used to acquire extended time, extra energy, and new skins. The game also includes a scalable maze feature that allows players to resize puzzles to fit their play space or shrink them for a desk setup.
