Sprawl Zero Launch Trailer Highlights New Nintendo Switch 2 First-Person Shooter

A fresh launch trailer for Sprawl Zero has debuted, showcasing the new first-person shooter available now on the Nintendo Switch 2. The title draws inspiration from the Golden Age of 2000s first-person shooters, incorporating aesthetic and design sensibilities from an era when the genre evolved from corridor shooting to immersive world-building.

Players step into the role of FIVE, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier controlled by the Junta. The primary directive centers on eliminating SILAS, who leads the radical techno-religious group IMAGO-DEI. As factions grasp for control, the setting plunges into chaos. Combat mechanics emphasize fast-paced yet grounded encounters, featuring enemy squads that communicate and coordinate tactics like flanking, covering fire, and using grenades to flush out players.

The gameplay features mechanics inspired by classic titles such as F.E.A.R. and Halo. Players utilize a Gravity Shield to catch and return bullets, or deploy Bullet-Time for midair precision shots. Additional mechanics include Gravity Gloves and Rushdown, expanding combat beyond standard gunplay into physics-driven encounters. Handcrafted levels offer multiple paths, verticality, and alternate approaches to encourage player choice and tactical experimentation.

Interested players can purchase the game right now through the Nintendo eShop.
