PlayStation Plus October 2026 Free Games: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, Earth Defense Force

Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed the October 2026 PlayStation Plus Essential monthly games lineup. Members can claim three titles starting October 6, with access running through November 2.

F1 25 arrives on PS5 as the racing game entry. The latest installment in Codemasters' Formula One series includes all official teams and drivers from the 2025 F1 season. The game features a robust career mode, My Team 2.0 for single-player progression, and F1 World multiplayer, which pits players against a squad of AI drivers.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 joins the lineup as an extraction shooter exclusive to PS5. The game requires players to track down bloodthirsty monsters while racing against both the clock and competing hunters. Survival depends on navigating deadly swamps, engaging in combat, and successfully escaping with extracted bounties.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 completes the trio and is available on both PS5 and PS4. This entry is a crossover featuring heroes from across the Earth Defense Force franchise. Players assemble teams to combat giant, blocky enemies and defend the planet from new threats.

Beyond the three main titles, PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim horror-themed in-game item bundles throughout October for games including Call of Duty: Warzone and Overwatch. These cosmetic additions align with the Halloween season.

PlayStation Plus members who have not yet claimed September's free games should do so before the October 6 changeover date.
