PHYND Brings Cloud Gaming to U.S. Local TV with Free Gaming Tour

PHYND's subscription-free cloud gaming service toured major U.S. cities throughout summer and early fall, appearing on local morning and lifestyle TV shows to demonstrate how the service works on compatible Samsung, LG, and Fire TV devices.

PHYND has been running a Free Gaming Tour across the United States, bringing its subscription-free cloud gaming service to local television audiences. The campaign differs from typical gaming promotion by targeting morning and lifestyle TV shows rather than gaming-focused media. Tour stops have included Providence, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Seattle, and San Antonio, with appearances scheduled through at least September.

Ney Castro, PHYND's Vice President of Gaming Strategy and Community Growth, has been the recurring face of the tour. He demonstrates the service directly on television sets during segments, showing viewers how to access games without purchasing a console or paying for a subscription. During a Good Morning Washington appearance, Castro played Garfield Kart 2 with the host while broadcasting on a compatible TV, letting the audience see the service in action rather than hearing a technical explanation.

The tour included appearances on programs such as Studio 10 in Providence, BMORE Lifestyle in Baltimore, Good Morning Washington, Seattle Refined, KABB FOX 29, and WOAI-TV in San Antonio. PHYND timed its Seattle stop to coincide with PAX West, where the company also met with developers and publishers.

By demonstrating PHYND on devices people already own, the tour positions cloud gaming as accessible to general audiences rather than only enthusiasts. The service is currently available on compatible Samsung and LG smart TVs and Amazon Fire TV devices. The campaign emphasizes that players can open PHYND on a compatible TV and begin playing immediately, without requiring additional hardware or a paid subscription.
