Phantom Blade Zero Reportedly Sells 300,000 Units on Steam Ahead of Launch

Alinea Analytics estimates that Phantom Blade Zero has sold 300,000 units on Steam ahead of its October 29 launch, according to recent reports.

According to S-Game, Phantom Blade Zero has far exceeded expectations with its pre-orders. Alinea Analytics' Rhys Elliott estimates that the title has sold 300,000 units so far on Steam, reportedly generating $14.5 million in revenue. Elliott also echoed GameDiscover's estimates concerning wishlists, claiming the game has passed 1.6 million wishlists following exposure from trailers.

Gaming consultant Daniel Camilo noted that while the hype is not quite at the level seen for Black Myth: Wukong, it remains considerably higher than what preceded the launch of Wuchang. Local brands have secured licensing deals and partnerships for the game, along with a publishing license enabling a simultaneous launch in Mainland China. According to Camilo, this will allow S-Game and its partners to significantly boost marketing efforts.

Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled to launch on October 29 for PlayStation 5 and PC. The game is expected to take roughly 30 to 40 hours to complete its story and will feature three difficulty options, including an unlockable 66 Days Mode where each death reduces the remaining time the protagonist Soul has left to live.
