Crimson Desert DLC Charting the Unknown Delayed to October 29th

Pearl Abyss has announced a delay for the first downloadable content for Crimson Desert, titled Charting the Unknown. Originally slated to release on October 15th, the expansion will now launch on October 29th at 3 PM PT. Players who want to jump into the new content will be able to purchase the expansion for $25 at launch.

The developer explained that the team has been hard at work on the project, but ultimately determined that it needed additional development time to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience. Pearl Abyss apologized to fans who were anticipating the earlier date, stating that the studio will use the extra weeks to further refine the content and deliver the best experience possible.

Charting the Unknown brings several additions to Crimson Desert, including new locations to explore such as islands and aquatic ruins. Players can use a new diving suit to explore underwater or sail the high seas using their own ship. The expansion also introduces a more complex housing mode where players can assign Greymanes to tasks, alongside a new story and various new bosses.
