Phantom Blade Zero Pre-Orders Open with New Trailer, Release Date, and State of Play Details

Developer S-Game has officially opened pre-orders for its upcoming action RPG Phantom Blade Zero, revealing a release date of October 29, 2026. To mark the announcement, the developer has released an extensive 11-minute trailer and confirmed an upcoming PlayStation State of Play presentation dedicated to the game.

New Gameplay Trailer & Donnie Yen Involvement

The newly released 11-minute trailer provides a deep look at the game, combining cinematic event scenes with intense gameplay footage. The trailer showcases various environments, previews high-speed combat, and teases several characters and bosses that players will encounter throughout their journey.

Additionally, S-Game revealed that acclaimed martial artist and actor Donnie Yen is contributing to the project. Yen is serving as a Creative Consultant for the game and is also providing the facial and motion capture for the character Mó Yuan.

Story and Gameplay Premise

In Phantom Blade Zero, players control Soul, an elite assassin working for a mysterious organization known as "The Order." Framed for murder and left for dead, Soul is rescued by a mystic healer who grants him a temporary second lease on life. With only 66 days left to live, Soul must hunt down those who set him up and uncover the truth.

Upcoming State of Play Presentation

To further showcase the game, Sony has announced a dedicated 20-minute State of Play presentation. The special broadcast is scheduled to air on August 17, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. PST / 10:00 p.m. EST.

Platforms and Release Date

Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled to launch on October 29, 2026. Pre-orders are available now for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
