PS5 Console Exclusive Phantom Blade Zero Poised for Gargantuan Launch Following Strong Pre-Order Sales

Phantom Blade Zero is shaping up for a massive launch, having already recorded hundreds of thousands of Steam pre-orders and strong placement on the US PlayStation Store.

Sony-backed console exclusive Phantom Blade Zero is shaping up to be a major commercial success, with early tracking indicating it could become one of the biggest Chinese releases since Black Myth Wukong. According to estimates from Alinea Analytics shared by analyst Rhys Elliott, the game has already sold 300,000 copies via Steam pre-orders alone with roughly ten weeks remaining until its launch, generating $14.5 million in revenue in just the first week.

These figures exclude PlayStation 5 sales entirely. On the US PlayStation Store, the $60 game currently ranks as the seventh most pre-ordered title, trailing only select versions of GTA 6, NBA 2K27, and Marvel's Wolverine. Additionally, the title benefits from competitive pricing in its domestic territories, where the Chinese version is currency-adjusted to cost 30% less than the US release. This pricing strategy is expected to drive massive popularity in its domestic market, where its themes and content hold strong appeal.

With a major appearance scheduled at Gamescom, alongside strong rumors surrounding an upcoming playable demo, anticipation continues to build. Industry observers note that if the title maintains its momentum, it is positioned to achieve a massive multi-platform launch across both PC and PS5.
