Bethesda released Update 1.1 for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on Nintendo Switch 2, targeting crash fixes and other stability issues. The patch has instead introduced visual degradation that players are reporting across both docked and handheld modes.

Reports emerged on Reddit shortly after the update's release, with users documenting noticeably blurrier visuals. Nintendo Life verified the issue by redownloading and testing the game, confirming that image quality had diminished. "While the difference is fairly subtle, we'd have to agree that the overall image quality has taken a downward turn," the publication wrote. "It all just looks a bit softer and lacking in detail."

Performance remains problematic. The update did not improve the stuttering players experienced before, leaving them with degraded visuals alongside unchanged frame rate issues.

Speculation among players points toward a DLSS problem, though Bethesda has not confirmed the cause. The publisher acknowledged the problem in an official statement, listing affected symptoms: increased ghosting or image trails during camera movement, blurry or lower-quality visuals, reduced sharpness and detail, and visual flickering in some scenes.

Bethesda stated it is currently investigating the issue. "We will update this article when we have more information," the company said.
