Nodusfall is a New Co-Op Action RPG Revealed by Hoyoverse at Gamescom

During Gamescom 2026's Opening Night Live showcase, Hoyoverse unveiled a brand-new co-op action RPG titled Nodusfall. Moving away from the anime-inspired visual style seen in previous titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, the dark fantasy game adopts a photorealistic approach for its environments, characters, and enemies.

The reveal trailer highlighted fast-paced gameplay with a primary focus on challenging boss fights against gargantuan foes rather than standard enemies. According to reports, players will need to utilize sound tactical planning to overcome these encounters. The trailer drew immediate comparisons to FromSoftware's 2022 open-world RPG, Elden Ring, notably featuring a boss enemy bearing a striking resemblance to Malenia.

While Hoyoverse is well known for utilizing gacha-styled monetization systems across its portfolio, the initial trailer did not provide any confirmation regarding how monetization will work in Nodusfall.
