Genshin Impact Celebrates 6th Anniversary With Web Event and New Theme Song

Genshin Impact marked its sixth anniversary on September 28, 2026, with a web event and original theme song. The game launched on the same date in 2020 across PS4, PC, and mobile devices.

HoYoVerse released "A Letter from the Wind," performed by Griffin Burns, the English voice actor for Childe (Tartaglia). The song features original animation with six playable characters: Paimon, Venti, Furina, Ayaka, Barbara, and Nilou performing together.

The Anniversary Memories Album web event runs through October 18, 2026, and lets players earn in-game rewards by completing activities. The Anniversary Memories Album section awards five Hero's Wit character XP items and 60 Primogems. Theater of Memories grants five Mystic Enhancement Ores for weapon growth and 60 Primogems. Adventure Style yields five Sanctifying Unctions for artifact XP and 40 Primogems. Players can find hidden Easter eggs for an additional 20 Primogems and earn 20,000 Mora by sharing the event on social media. In total, players can obtain 180 Primogems, enough for one banner pull.

HoYoVerse also released a 6th Anniversary Letter video featuring chibi versions of Aether and Paimon reviewing moments from recent version updates. The video included statistics such as 4.8% of players who purchased investment coupons continuing for nine weeks, 26% of players removing Columbina's eye mask after "Welkin Moon's Homecoming," and 12.7% of players eavesdropping on Klee during "Confinement Room Drama Enjoyer."

Genshin Impact is available on PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. Version 7.1 is currently live and adds Vesna and Vodyanitsa to the game.
