The latest North American Nintendo Download update has arrived, highlighting a variety of new content making its way to the eShop. Among the major updates detailed for the platform is the upcoming open beta period for a major franchise entry on Nintendo's hardware.

According to the update details, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta is scheduled to run from August 28 at 10 a.m. PT through September 1 at 10 a.m. PT. All players utilizing a Nintendo Switch 2 system will be able to participate in the weekend test, which features a playable campaign mission, multiplayer modes, and opportunities to earn in-game beta rewards ahead of the game's scheduled launch on October 23.

Additionally, Nintendo Switch 2 participants taking part in the open beta period will have access to Vault Edition operators and weapons during the event, regardless of whether they have pre-ordered the full title.
