New PS5 System Software Update Introduces Community Activity Widget

A recent system software update for the PlayStation 5 has introduced a new Community Activity widget to the console Welcome page. The feature gives users a glimpse into what is trending on the machine and provides insight into what the general public is currently playing. Players can utilize the widget through two main tabs.

The Trending Now tab highlights games and modes that are surging in popularity, while the Top 10 tab showcases the most popular titles for the week. While the tool does not provide hard stats or sales numbers, it highlights regional zeitgeist and popular games. Based on a United Kingdom account preview, the Trending Now list featured titles such as Teardown, WWE 2K26, EA Sports FC 24, World of Tanks, Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition, Pool Blitz, and World of Warships: Legends. Meanwhile, the Top 10 tab featured Call of Duty: Black Ops II alongside Skate.
