Capcom has confirmed the performance targets and resolution options for Monster Hunter Wilds on Nintendo Switch 2. The game will target 30 frames per second across two docked display modes: Prioritise Resolution and Prioritise Frame Rate.

Both modes aim for 30fps, though Capcom noted that frame rate may drop during high-load situations. Players choosing to prioritise resolution should expect more noticeable performance fluctuations compared to the frame rate-focused option.

Ray tracing will not be available on the Switch 2 version. The feature appears limited to PlayStation 5 Pro among current console releases.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches on Switch 2 on 4 December 2026. Capcom has also confirmed the game's major expansion, Ascendance, will arrive on the platform in 2027. The announcement came during the Tokyo Game Show 2026 showcase.

Alongside the performance reveal, Capcom is running an eShop sale featuring Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection at $48.99 (down from $69.99) and other titles including Pragmata, Resident Evil remakes, and Street Fighter 6. The sale runs through 9 October 2026.
