molodoy to return to aggressive playstyle at FURIA
Danil "molodoy" Golubenko plans to move away from a team-oriented approach to return to the aggressive AWPing style that defined his rookie year.

Danil "molodoy" Golubenko has decided to return to the aggressive AWPing style that characterized his rookie year. After attempting to transition into a more team-oriented player, the Kazakh sniper stated that he intends to prioritize his natural individualistic playstyle to improve his performance with FURIA.
The shift comes during a difficult sophomore year for Golubenko. Last year, he maintained a 1.20 rating against top-five teams, but his 2026 statistics show a decline to a 0.99 rating. He also recorded a 1.06 rating during recent playoffs. Discussing his recent form, Golubenko noted that his attempts to change his approach did not yield the desired results. "I wanted to try to fix my game, but already, after China, I didn't want to fix it anymore," Golubenko said. "For me, it's better to play sometimes by yourself. I need to play more aggressive because it's my style. For me, it works, and I don't need to stop this."
Golubenko also addressed recent health concerns regarding intraocular pressure. He explained that the condition made it difficult to focus on the screen during matches. "It's hard to play because I have pressure in my eyes. When I was trying to focus in the game, you know, it's hard to explain... it's kind of a pain in your eyes, and it's bad," he said. He confirmed that the issue is improving and that he only requires medication to manage it.
The player also touched upon the upcoming retirement of Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo. While acknowledging the difficulty of losing a close teammate, Golubenko expressed a desire to maximize their remaining time together by winning upcoming events. He noted that the team is currently working to find stability in the months leading up to the Major.
