ZywOo Claims MVP as Vitality Wins StarSeries Fall 2026

Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut secured his 33rd career MVP award and his first of the season following a strong performance at StarSeries Fall 2026 in Barcelona. Herbaut posted a 1.50 rating throughout the tournament, culminating in a Championship Sunday double-header that saw Vitality defeat FURIA in the consolidation final before overcoming Aurora in the grand final.

Speaking after the victory, Herbaut noted that the win provided a much-needed release for the team after a three-month drought between trophies. Vitality entered the final stages following a rigorous schedule, playing six maps across a grueling double-header while remaining prepared for up to eight maps. According to Herbaut, an individual team meeting held after the previous tournament in Porto helped clear the air, reduce stress, and improve communication regarding how members viewed the game and each other.

The team addressed specific mistakes from an earlier loss to Aurora, particularly improving their T-side performance on Anubis. Instead of playing passively, Vitality adopted a more aggressive and proactive approach. The tournament also marked a high-level return for teammate mezii, whose strong performance in the final was praised by the roster.

Looking ahead, Vitality plans to return to practice in preparation for upcoming events including EPL and a trip to Bucharest, where they will play alongside jL. Herbaut emphasized that the team's main focus remains on the upcoming Major, utilizing ongoing practice and film review to fix mistakes and maintain their competitive edge.
