Marvel's Wolverine has received a new hotfix that gives players more control over the game's sensory mechanics. Update 1.001.006 introduces toggles to disable Whisky Bottle Scent Trails, Material Crate Audio Clues, and Nightmare Door Roots, addressing complaints that the game was guiding players too heavily.

Story-critical senses will continue to appear regardless of player settings, ensuring that narrative progression remains unaffected by the new toggles. This update builds on an earlier patch that reduced the overall intensity of Scent Trails after similar feedback from the community.

Beyond accessibility and customization improvements, the hotfix targets stability across multiple areas. Insomniac fixed several crashes identified through crash logs and community reports. Players who encountered a stuck animation while sliding down a tree in the mission "The One That Got Away" should no longer experience that issue.

Photo Mode received fixes for misaligned claws, and a rare visual glitch where objects would turn white after extended play sessions has been addressed. The patch also corrected an overlapping bathroom sign in a casino location caused by a UV mapping error. That texture issue had sparked speculation among some players about AI-generated assets, which an Insomniac representative previously denied, attributing the problem to the UV mapping fault.

The full patch notes outline all addressed issues and new customization options available to players.
