Developer Neowiz has registered a trademark for Wonders of O on the European Union Intellectual Property Office website. Spotted via ResetEra, the listing covers interactive multimedia software for playing games. This registration suggests that the studio is preparing to put its own macabre spin on the classic L. Frank Baum books following the success of Lies of P.

Players previously caught a hint of this direction during the mid-credits sequence of Lies of P, which featured a pair of ruby-red shoes and teased a trip to the Emerald City. The original source material entered the public domain in 1956, giving the developers free rein to adapt fantastical elements like flying monkeys and the Wicked Witch into a souls-like framework.

Neowiz launched Lies of P in 2023, followed by the Overture expansion in 2025. The prequel expansion explored the events leading up to the Puppet Frenzy massacre and the collapse of the city of Krat. The title also arrived on the Switch 2 platform earlier this year. Neowiz co-CEO Sean Kim also addressed development practices in January, stating that the company explores technology-based solutions like AI to automate routine operational tasks and support developers.
