Level-5 Announces Yo-Kai Watch 2 Haunted Domain Remake for Switch 2

Japanese developer Level-5 has officially confirmed that Yo-Kai Watch 2 Haunted Domain is currently in development. The announcement was made during a Nintendo Direct livestream, revealing that the upcoming title serves as a remake of the original 2014 game, Yo-Kai Watch 2.

According to official details shared alongside the announcement, the game is heading to the Nintendo Switch 2. A brief teaser trailer showcased protagonist Nate alongside a few of his Yo-kai companions. The project aims to evolve the adventures of the original releases—known across Bony Spirits, Fleshy Souls, and Psychic Specters—by introducing enhanced graphics and new content for Nintendo players.

Alongside the graphical enhancements, players can expect new story content as Nate embarks on mysterious adventures and befriends a wide variety of creatures. Official summaries from Nintendo indicate that players may even encounter brand new Yo-kai during their journey. At the time of the announcement, a specific launch window or release date for the remake remains TBA as development continues.
