Nintendo Announces Kirby and the World Beyond for Switch 2 in Spring 2027
Nintendo closed its latest Nintendo Direct with the reveal of Kirby and the World Beyond, an open-world Kirby game set to release in spring 2027 for the Switch 2.
During the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo concluded the presentation with the final announcement of a brand new Kirby game titled Kirby and the World Beyond. Slated to launch for the Switch 2 in spring 2027, the title appears to feature an open-world design that transports the iconic pink hero to expansive new locations.
The announcement trailer showcased Kirby exploring large open areas, battling enemies, and utilizing a variety of new abilities. Notably, one sequence from the footage featured a battle against King Dedede. The upcoming release will form part of the 35th anniversary celebration for the Kirby series, which takes place next year.
Alongside Kirby and the World Beyond, the Nintendo Direct presentation also featured reveals for other titles, including Metroid Ravenous and a Switch 2 Edition of Pikmin 4.
