People Are Reviewing The GTA 6 Extended Look On Letterboxd Like It’s A Movie

Letterboxd users are logging and reviewing the 25-plus minute Grand Theft Auto VI extended-look trailer as if it were a feature film.

Reviews are currently rolling in for Grand Theft Auto VI on Letterboxd, a social media site primarily focused on journaling films. Users have been logging the 25-plus minute GTA 6 extended-look trailer—which premiered on Netflix—allowing people to rate the advertisement like a movie and offer humorous critiques.

Among the popular reviews is one from user eddyburback, who critiqued the structure and narrative before jokingly adding that the gameplay looked incredible. Another user, Stephanie Gillespie, gave the presentation a one-star rating out of five, criticizing the edited-together footage compared to past Rockstar trailers. Other users made jokes about logging advertisements, memes, and even called the trailer Netflix's Oscar contender for best short film.

The film industry comparisons do not stop there. Last week, people compared character Jason Duval's voice to Tom Hardy's Bane character from The Dark Knight Rises due to similar mumbling. Meanwhile, other updates reveal a playthrough can take roughly 80 hours, and that there will be no microtransactions in GTA 6 when it launches on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
