Green Hell VR Gets Painting and Building Update on PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest

Developer Incuvo has released a new update for Green Hell VR, bringing painting mechanics, structural additions, and cosmetic packs to players on both PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest. The free update was featured at the VR Games Showcase and is available now for both platforms.

To utilize the new painting features, players can craft a painting brush and a bowl using newly added crafting formulas. Alongside the addition of color, the update expands camp customization options by introducing two new modular structures: triangle frames and plank structures designed to diversify camp building.

Alongside the free gameplay additions, Incuvo launched two paid cosmetic packs. The Art Instructor Pack is available for $2.99, while the Painter Pack is priced at $1.99. Additionally, the developers included a free anniversary shirt to commemorate Green Hell VR reaching one million players specifically on the Meta Quest platform, a milestone that notably excludes the SteamVR version.

While the update is live for PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest, the SteamVR version is left out of these immediate additions. Incuvo previously noted plans to port the PlayStation VR2 version's linear main campaign to PC VR. Although an initial summer release window was targeted, the roadmap was updated in June to shift that release plan to the fall to allow for additional testing. Existing Steam owners will receive the new version for free, while the original PC VR version is expected to remain unaffected, resulting in two separate branches of the game.
