God of War Laufey Rockets to PS Store Top Charts Ahead of February Release
Sony Santa Monica Studio's God of War Laufey has claimed second place across 44 PlayStation Store regions following the opening of pre-orders, with the premium Digital Deluxe Edition leading sales.

God of War Laufey has rocketed to the top of PlayStation Store charts in dozens of countries ahead of its 15 February release. Sony opened pre-orders for the PS5 exclusive yesterday, and the game already sits in second position across 44 of the official Sony storefronts tracked by PS Store DB.
In practically all those countries, it's only being beaten by the upcoming GTA 6. The more expensive Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes bonus items, is performing best among the available versions. The game starts at $70.
Pre-order strength for God of War Laufey is particularly notable given earlier concerns that the new protagonist might not resonate as strongly as Kratos-led predecessors. So far, there's no sign of underperformance.
Sony's marketing push for the title is expected to intensify closer to launch. The publisher has not yet deployed its full promotional machinery, suggesting the strong early chart performance reflects organic interest rather than peak marketing saturation.
