Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival Adds Switch 2 Version Alongside October Launch

Survival horror action title Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is expanding its platform lineup. In addition to its previously announced release on PlayStation 5—where it will also receive higher graphic settings and PSSR support for players using a PS5 Pro—the game has been confirmed to add a Switch 2 version, launching alongside other platforms.

Developed by teams at Mad Head Games and Saber Interactive, the title features a campaign that Assistant Game Director Vid Rajin suggests could take over 12 hours to complete. The development team received advice from Clive Barker from its initial conception, and actor Doug Bradley reprises his iconic role as Pinhead from the films. Players step into the role of protagonist Aiden, navigating a dark, reality-warping labyrinth filled with disturbing encounters, such as the eyeless, chattering-teeth entity known as The Chatterer.

Central to both gameplay and the game's narrative is the Genesis Configuration, a mysterious puzzle box that drives environmental manipulation and traversal. While the title includes traditional survival horror elements like inventory management akin to the Resident Evil games, lock-picking mechanics, and safe combinations rewarding crafting resources and weapons, the Genesis Configuration serves vital roles in solving complex environmental puzzles. These range from rotating giant wheels to realign narrow, spike-laden walkways to transforming into specific shapes that act as keys to open courtyard gates.
