Zombie Police: Midsummer Unhappy New Year launches November 22 for PC, Switch version coming later
Lobstudio's comedy detective adventure game Zombie Police: Midsummer Unhappy New Year arrives on PC this November. A Nintendo Switch version has been announced with a release date to be confirmed.

Lobstudio is releasing Zombie Police: Midsummer Unhappy New Year on PC on November 22. The developer has also announced a Nintendo Switch version, though a specific launch date for the handheld console has not yet been shared.
Zombie Police: Midsummer Unhappy New Year is a single-player comedy detective adventure game that blends visual novel and investigation gameplay. Players take on the role of zombie detective Akemi Kabane, who investigates a supernatural incident affecting Shimofuri Village alongside partners Detective Zomby and Yasu Tamura. The story involves uncovering the truth behind a VTuber involved in a horrific incident and a mysterious force threatening to freeze the village permanently.
The game features an investigation system where players use Akemi's "Zombie Dive" ability to uncover hidden secrets and clues by diving into both suspects and objects. Lobstudio CEO Tsuyoshi Manabe described the game as exploring "older traditions versus newer values and ways of life" while delivering quirky characters and mystery-driven gameplay. He cited Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, and Paranormasight as inspirational titles for the project.
Zombie Police: Midsummer Unhappy New Year will be available as a digital download for $10.99.
