An unofficial PC port of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker has been released, marking another addition to a growing collection of console games brought to PC through community efforts.

The port runs natively on Windows using Direct3D 12 for graphics rendering. It supports resolutions up to 4K with up to 16x texture filtering, and players can use HD texture packs in Dolphin format to enhance image quality further. The port offers flexible display options, including 16:9 and 16:10 widescreen modes alongside the original 4:3 aspect ratio.

Performance options include 60 FPS and 120 FPS modes, with a separate early 60 FPS mode that runs the game itself at 60 FPS on Windows. For controls, the port supports keyboards, mice, and gamepads. Mouse control manages the camera while keyboard provides full game controls. Gamepad players get fast right-stick camera control.

The port incorporates quality-of-life improvements from Wind Waker HD, including the Swift Sail for faster sailing, quicker text and climbing speeds, and expedited scene changes and door transitions. Players can toggle these features on or off from the settings menu.

Save files are stored outside the application, preventing loss during updates. The port also supports mods and currently runs the US GZLE01 Rev 0 version of the game. Players must provide their own ROM file to play, as the port does not include in-game assets.

This PC port follows similar unofficial releases of other Nintendo and classic console games, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Super Mario 64, and numerous others brought to the platform by the community.
