Xbox is delivering a robust slate of releases this week, ranging from major franchise entries to indie and remaster titles across console and PC.

The week's biggest release is Minecraft Dungeons II, arriving September 28 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC through Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere. The $29.99 dungeon crawler asks players to drop the pickaxe and grab a sword to stop a new evil threatening two worlds. The game tasks players with clashing against menacing foes in explosive encounters and fighting through hordes of mobs.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered launches September 29 as a free upgrade for all existing owners of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Xbox platforms. The remaster brings improvements to visuals, gameplay, and character progression while including the acclaimed Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions. The complete edition is available for $24.99, reduced from $49.99.

October 1 marks the release of two significant titles. Gears of War: E-Day Premium Edition arrives for $99.99 on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Xbox Play Anywhere. Built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, the game explores the origin story of the franchise 14 years before the original Gears of War, placing players alongside Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde first emerges. The game features a campaign mode alongside a reimagined Horde Siege PvE mode and refined Versus PvP.

Also releasing October 1 is Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered. Priced at $39.99, this revival combines Dynasty Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends using Unreal Engine 5, featuring more than 40 officers and numerous battlefields recreated for the 1 vs. 1,000 action gameplay the series is known for.

End of Abyss, an action-adventure title from Epic Games Publishing, releases October 1 for $29.99. Players control a young combat technician named Cel investigating disturbances in an underground compound, uncovering derelict areas and confronting creatures that inhabit them.

Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts becomes available October 1 through Xbox Play Anywhere at no additional cost beyond Game Pass. The naval strategy game lets players design and build realistic warships, recreate historical vessels like the HMS Dreadnought, and engage in battles spanning technology eras from 1890 to 1950 across ten nations.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve releases October 2 for $69.99, developed by Project Aces. Pre-order customers gain early access starting September 28 through the Deluxe Edition. The flight combat game tasks elite pilots with engaging in dogfights, eliminating threats, and completing missions across stunning skies.

Earlier in the week, September 28 brings several smaller releases. Gothic II Complete Classic combines Gothic II and the Night of the Raven expansion. Backyard Baseball, a reimagined version of the classic, adds new game modes, unlockables, and achievements. Way of the Hunter 2 launches for $39.99, letting players hunt North American wildlife including moose, elk, bears, and bison.

September 28 also sees releases for Keep Driving, an atmospheric management RPG about life on the open road where players pick up hitchhikers and customize vehicles. Blades & Battles combines 1990s arcade aesthetics with modern combat, supporting solo play or local co-op. Lost in Loss is a detective adventure set in hand-drawn locations where players search for hidden objects and uncover personal stories. Sneak Cheese is a cozy puzzle game where a mouse pushes cheese into burrows while avoiding cats. Transport Fever 3 returns as a transport tycoon game building routes across land, sea, and air.

September 29 brings NEIGHBORS: Suburban Warfare, a multiplayer party brawler where teams defend homes using everyday objects in chaotic lawn disputes.

September 30 releases include Cat Lines, a puzzle game where players control a kitten leaving yarn trails to cover blocks, and King's Blade, a heroic fantasy title available for $7.99, down from $9.99, with a free trial option.
