Four Games Free to Play on Xbox This Weekend

Xbox is running Free Play Days from September 24 to 27, letting players try four games across different genres.

The Escapists 2 and Young Suns are available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members. The Escapists 2 is a prison-escape strategy game where players team up with friends to plan and execute breakouts from facilities worldwide, crafting tools from everyday items and fighting guards when plans go wrong. Young Suns is a multiplayer narrative life sim set on Jupiter after a successful revolution against corporations. Players explore moonlets, stations, and ruins in a customizable spaceship with up to three friends, discovering items to repair and use or donate to rebuild society. The game supports single-player and cooperative play and is optimized for Xbox Series X|S with Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere support.

PGA TOUR 2K25 and The Division 2 are free for all Xbox members, requiring no Game Pass subscription. PGA TOUR 2K25 is a golf simulation optimized for Xbox Series X|S with Xbox Play Anywhere support. During Free Play Days, players can compete in Ranked Tours at the Championship at Del Cerro, earning themed rewards. This week features a quest called The Captain's Call that requires hitting five fairways in regulation, recording five birdies in a single round, and making three putts from 10 or more feet, with rewards including 250 VC, cosmetics, and progression tokens.

The Division 2 is a tactical third-person shooter set in a transformed Washington, D.C. after a pandemic. Players defend and rebuild the city solo or cooperatively, engaging in cover-based firefights where positioning and utility use determine survival. The game is optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

Players who purchase games during Free Play Days keep any Gamerscore and achievements earned during the trial period. Discounts on full purchases vary by title and region. Games can be installed through Xbox.com or the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store on console.
