World of Warcraft: Forever Puts New Skyborne Race Behind Store Bundles
Blizzard has announced that the new Skyborne race in World of Warcraft: Forever will require an extra purchase through store bundles rather than coming with the standard subscription.

Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that the upcoming Skyborne race in World of Warcraft: Forever will not be accessible through a standard game subscription. Instead, players must purchase specific store bundles to play as the new windswept elf race and access its starting zone.
According to recent reports, unlocking the Skyborne race requires the base Heroic Pack, which is priced at thirty dollars. However, this tier does not include beta access. Players who want to join the beta must purchase the Epic Pack or a higher tier. The Epic Pack includes the contents of the Heroic tier alongside extra cosmetics, tabards, pets, and bonus items.
The Skyborne race features a story where their world faces an existential threat. They are part of the broader World of Warcraft: Forever experience, a new project operating alongside the Modern and Classic versions of the game. The update launches on November 4, 2026, with a beta period scheduled to begin on September 17. Alongside the new race, the update introduces three new zones, over one thousand new quests, nine new dungeons, and two new raids set during the Vanilla era of Azeroth.
