World of Warcraft Forever is set to introduce over 1,000 new playable quests when the title launches on November 4, 2026. Blizzard announced the new version of World of Warcraft Classic as a permanent home alongside modern and Classic World of Warcraft. Set after the events of Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, the game features a level 60 cap, a new class, four new zones, and numerous gameplay improvements.

GameSpot recently spoke with Blizzard senior game designer Josh Greenfield to discuss how the massive set of new quests is handled. Greenfield noted that existing actual playable quests total around 3,000 to 3,500. The upcoming addition represents a significant increase, with the four new zones contributing between 50 and 200 quests each. Additionally, existing zones such as the Wetlands and Azshara have received updates and new quests to round them out. Greenfield stated that players will encounter new content starting from level five onward.

A beta test for World of Warcraft Forever runs from September 17 to October 21, 2026. Players can gain guaranteed beta access by preordering the Skyborne Epic Pack priced at $59.99 or the Warcraft Forever Collection priced at $79.99 through the Battle.net store. Players can also opt-in via the official website, though entry is not guaranteed. The beta features an initial level cap of 20, which will increase to level 30 after a few weeks.

While the new content requires purchasing upgrade packs for certain features such as the Skyborne race, the base release of World of Warcraft Forever is included with a standard World of Warcraft subscription or game time. Early name reservation for the game takes place from October 27 through November 3, 2026, for players who purchase an upgrade.
