The Witcher 3 Remastered will launch Tuesday, September 29th at 3am PDT / 6am EDT / 11am BST, CD Projekt Red announced. The free update is available simultaneously across all platforms with no preload option.

File sizes are consistent across most platforms. The update is 45GB on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox consoles. Nintendo Switch 2 requires approximately 50GB due to the platform's specifications. PC file sizes may vary depending on installed language packs.

Complete release times across regions are: North America 3am PDT / 4am MDT / 5am CDT / 6am EDT; Europe 12pm CEST / 1pm EEST; and Asia-Oceania 7pm JST / 6pm AWST / 8pm AEST.

The Witcher 3 Remastered modernizes the open-world RPG with visual, performance, and gameplay upgrades. The package includes the base game plus two expansions: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

Existing Xbox achievements will carry over to the remastered version. The game will launch as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, meaning PC access via the Xbox app is included at no extra cost for console owners. CD Projekt Red confirmed the free upgrade applies to digital copies on Xbox Series X|S, though physical edition compatibility remains unconfirmed. The Witcher 3 for Xbox Series X|S is currently discounted 50% to £19.99 / $24.99.
