Playing Wardogs with the goal of unlocking all Medic gear has led one player to examine the game experience point thresholds closely. Reaching Medic level 18 took 30 hours of playtime and 177,619 Medic XP, but progressing to level 24 for the final medical bag unlock requires 337,000 XP in total. This means a player at level 18 is only 52 percent of the way to the goal.

An unscientific test during a 50-minute winning match yielded 9,995 Medic XP while focusing on revives, healing, and administering stims. Based on that rate, unlocking the medical bag would require roughly 16 more matches or about 13 hours of playtime. For players with limited time who can only play a few hours on select nights, reaching the milestone can take weeks.

The steep experience curve is a subject of debate within the Wardogs community. Some players feel the milestones increase too quickly, while others worry about the impact of planned seasonal wipes. Bulkhead is reviewing feedback regarding the progression grind and has alluded to future features that will alter the experience from season to season. Season 2 is scheduled to begin on October 15 and will wipe all player progress back to level 1.
