Shoot the Tires to Disable Humvees in Wardogs

Two weeks after launch, many Wardogs players are still unaware of a critical weakness in the game's Humvee vehicles. Targeting the tires can cut their speed by over half and force drivers into vulnerable positions.

Humvees pose a significant threat in Wardogs. They move quickly, withstand multiple RPG hits, and come equipped with mounted machine guns capable of eliminating infantry squads in seconds. However, the vehicles have an exploitable weakness that many players have yet to discover.

Shooting the tires dramatically reduces performance. Popping a single tire cuts the Humvee's maximum speed by over half, while destroying two tires slows it to a crawl. The gunner remains operational, but the slowed vehicle becomes easier to target and forces the driver into a difficult decision: attempt a risky repair or limp away from combat.

YouTuber Min Max Lab tested the mechanics and found that just eight 5.56 bullets from Wardogs' free starter rifle can destroy one tire. A single soldier can inflict enough damage to discourage engagement. Shotguns prove particularly effective against tires, and the front of the vehicle takes increased damage compared to other angles. Humvee windows offer varying levels of protection depending on which one is targeted.

Once a tire is damaged, many drivers choose to retreat for repairs rather than continue fighting while compromised.
