WARDOGS Launches With Major Server Issues and Client Update

WARDOGS officially launched, but the game immediately encountered constant server issues and widespread downtime. Players trying to jump into the game have reported running into error codes, extended login queues, or finding themselves entirely unable to get past the login screen.

Official social media accounts for WARDOGS have provided ongoing updates while the team works to battle the server instability. In response to the launch congestion, developers released a small client hotfix intended to address several persistent problems. According to the update notes, all currently logged-in players are forced to close WARDOGS and restart the game to trigger a prompt for the latest client download.

Once players install the update and relaunch, they return to a login queue. The development team began letting players back into the game in controlled batches. As verification confirms that players successfully enter and populate the servers, the team gradually increases the number of incoming players. This client hotfix targets multiple issues seen since launch, including extended login queue times, players unable to join servers, and unexpected disconnections during active play.

SteamDB data indicated that WARDOGS reached a peak concurrent player count of 337,157 users. However, that high figure likely represents the total number of people who loaded the client rather than active participants, given that the majority of players faced barriers trying to play. Players across social media shared complaints about waiting in login queues for hours on end. Regarding how long the queue takes, developers noted that access depends on individual queue positions as batches are let through. Previously, historical movement progressed at a rate of around 10,000 players per 30 minutes, though actual wait times fluctuate.

Many users also encountered error code 1147405308, which the developers implemented to signify that the game servers are currently not working. Even after the release of the client update, hundreds of players reported continuing to see the specific error code. The development team advised that players may need to download a new Steam client in order to play, and urged patience while the servers remain overloaded and operating at or beyond capacity.
