Wardogs Console Versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X Planned for 2028
Bulkhead plans to bring its shooter Wardogs to PS5 and Xbox Series X, but console players will have to wait until 2028.
Console players waiting to jump into Wardogs will have a long wait ahead of them. Developer Bulkhead has confirmed plans to bring the all-out warfare shooter to PS5 and Xbox Series X. However, the console versions are not scheduled for release until 2028.
Currently, Wardogs is only available on PC via Steam, where it recently launched into early access. The PC version has already proven to be a massive hit, selling over one million copies during its first day of early access. Despite this early success, the developer is prioritizing the PC build and keeping its focus on the planned roadmap. According to the Steam page notice, the early access period is expected to last between one and two years. This phase is dedicated to gathering player feedback, iterating alongside the community, and shaping game systems, balance, rewards, and progression.
During early access, Bulkhead plans to expand the game by adding new weapons, maps, vehicles, and depth to the seasonal cash meta game. Players who purchase the current PC early access build pay $39.99 or £36.99. Bulkhead has noted that the final full version of the game will be more expensive than the current PC early access build, meaning console versions will likely cost more when they finally launch in 2028.
