Wardogs Launches in Early Access With Unique Bribe Mechanic for Medics
Bulkhead has launched its new Battlefield-style shooter, Wardogs, in early access. The game features an economy system that lets downed players bribe medics for priority revives.

Bulkhead has released its new multiplayer shooter, Wardogs, into early access. The game adopts a Battlefield-style format centered around all-out warfare, but introduces a distinct economy where profitability is the primary language of success. Players earn cash to purchase fancy loadouts, build fortifications, and fund literal taxi rides to the conflict zone.
One of the standout mechanics in Wardogs revolves around medical revives. When players are downed, they can tap the F1 key to offer a monetary bribe. This places a cash reward number over their head, incentivizing nearby medics to prioritize reviving them over other fallen comrades. Medics can also earn extra income by scrounging medical supplies from corpses and backpacks, or by offering post-revive heals for tips.
The game experienced a slightly shaky server launch as 300,000 players logged in simultaneously to check out the early access release. Despite the initial server hurdles, players are responding positively to the capitalist approach to warfare. The economy system successfully reinforces the battlefield role fantasy, and the developer has plenty of room to scale the concept throughout the early access period.
