The creators of military shooter Wardogs are cracking down heavily on players who use bugs and exploits to rapidly farm experience points and in-game currency. Bulkhead stated that players who spend more than a few minutes in dedicated XP farming servers will face permanent bans. According to the developers, user accounts are tracked across every server to monitor suspicious activity. Players who abuse cash exploits and bugs will also have their currency and XP reset to zero, alongside receiving timed bans based on previous infractions.

Bulkhead issued an additional warning regarding instructional content. Individuals who create videos or posts tutorializing system exploits without reporting the underlying issues will be treated as advertising cheats and will receive permanent bans. The studio clarified that there is a distinct difference between promoting exploits and alerting developers to bugs, welcoming genuine error reports while warning against public exploitation loops.

Despite the strict enforcement measures, Bulkhead continues to encourage standard grinding behavior. Alongside the security policy update, the studio rolled out a patch designed to improve the game server browser with a dedicated feed for community servers. To apologize for previous shortcomings regarding their server strategy, the developers introduced an extra 5% End of Match cash bonus specifically for players utilizing community servers. Wardogs launched in early access and recently reached a peak of over 400,000 simultaneous players on Steam.
