Wardogs boss admits balance is guesswork, won't be solved by season 2
Wardogs producer Joe Brammer says the tactical FPS's balance issues are inherent to game development and will likely persist into the next season, though the team is committed to long-term improvements.

Wardogs producer Joe Brammer has acknowledged that balancing the tactical FPS is an ongoing challenge that won't be resolved by season 2, describing it as educated guesswork rather than an exact science.
"The big failure was not balancing," Brammer said, "that's always best guess and evolves with time, and we won't even get it right season 2." He explained that balance discovery is inherent to game development, with players uncovering unintended mechanics and optimal strategies once a game launches at scale. Wardogs sold three million copies in its first few weeks, providing the player base needed to surface these issues.
Brammer acknowledged community feedback about early-game balance, particularly concerns about heavily armored Juggernauts dominating later in matches. He noted the developers intentionally kept the inaugural season short to address these problems, saying the team "kept the season short while we balance it."
Rather than balance itself, Brammer identified the season's actual shortcoming as the lack of official community server options and infantry-only servers with level caps. "It's an evolving situation, we're learning, adapting, improving, nerfing, buffing, but all with the long term plan in mind," he said.
