Voicemod Launches Key Pocket Device for Real-Time Mobile Voice Changing

Voicemod has announced the Voicemod Key Pocket, a pocket-sized hardware device designed to bring real-time voice changing and soundboards to mobile games, console voice chat, and social applications without requiring a PC. Mobile operating systems generally prevent a single app from processing microphone audio and feeding it into another game or social app in real time. The Key Pocket works alongside the Voicemod app as a dedicated audio bridge, enabling low-latency voice transformation across mobile games, social apps, and consoles without routing audio through a computer. Voice processing remains local to the user and separate from the game audio pipeline.

The hardware features an LED wheel for toggling voices on and off and checking vocal setups, programmable trigger buttons for instant voice swaps and soundboard playback, an action button for instant muting and unmuting, support for wired and Bluetooth headsets, MagSafe compatibility for secure attachment to compatible phones and cases, and USB-C passthrough charging. The device supports USB-C smartphones and tablets. It is also compatible with PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Meta Quest 2, 3, and 3S headsets. For PlayStation and Xbox, the device connects through the controller audio jack.

The Voicemod Key Pocket is available now for shipping to the United States, with availability in Europe and additional markets planned to follow. It is available as a standalone device for $99.90 or as part of a $129.90 bundle that includes the hardware and a Voicemod Pro license. The Pro tier provides lifetime access to hundreds of original voices, community-created voices and sounds, custom voice creation, and cloud syncing across multiple platforms.
