Valor Mortis New Story Trailer Confirms Vincent Cassel as Napoleon Bonaparte Ahead of October Launch

Developer One More Level has released a new story trailer for Valor Mortis, showcasing narrative details, gameplay footage, and confirming that Vincent Cassel will voice Napoleon Bonaparte ahead of its October 13th release.

Developer One More Level has released a new, minute-and-a-half-long trailer for Valor Mortis, focusing heavily on the first-person soulsike game's narrative. Among the major revelations, the video confirms that César Award-winning actor Vincent Cassel will portray the game's rendition of Napoleon Bonaparte. The footage highlights the rebel leader fighting against Napoleon's empire in Eastern Europe—known as Shrike—while offering fresh looks at the title's brutal gameplay.

Players will face plague-infested soldiers who are savage, brutal, and now supernaturally enhanced. Throughout the journey, protagonist William Dowsett can absorb the essence of defeated enemies, though the exact impact on his combat prowess and mental state remains to be seen. The story will also introduce other characters, including fellow soldier James Stewart and lamplighter Lucjan Skawiński, each possessing distinct goals and motivations.

Valor Mortis is scheduled to launch on October 13th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game was originally slated for a September 24th release, but One More Level delayed it due to a heavily crowded September release window caused by partner showcase scheduling constraints.
