Valheim Reaches Version 1.0 With New Deep North Biome and UI Updates
Valheim has launched its 1.0 update, introducing the Deep North biome, a reworked building user interface, and several progression improvements.

Survival crafting game Valheim has officially launched its 1.0 update. The full release introduces the final endgame biome known as the Deep North, alongside a series of improvements designed to streamline the progression from a starting adventurer to a fully geared Viking.
Developer Iron Gate Studios implemented several changes across the game's biomes. A notable addition is the reworked building user interface, which allows players to search for individual pieces, favorite specific items, and create custom categories for tools and decor without relying on exterior mods. The update also includes new world-building cutscenes, boss reworks, and balanced boss buffs that make multiple options viable during progression.
For exploration and inventory management, the release brings upgradeable pocket space and a grappling hook designed to help players navigate hostile zones like the Mistlands. These additions aim to provide a clearer path through the adventure from the early-game Meadows to the later regions, reducing the need to rely heavily on external guides.
Players can jump into the version-complete build starting from scratch in the Meadows. Valheim 1.0 is available now on Steam.
