Vaelorys Open Playtest For Spellcasting Action RPG Kicks Off On Quest
Spellbound Studio has launched a free open playtest for Vaelorys, a Diablo-inspired dark fantasy action RPG on Meta Quest featuring gesture-based spellcasting.

Spellbound Studio has launched an open playtest for Vaelorys, an upcoming dark fantasy action role-playing game designed for Meta Quest headsets. The free playtest kicked off on September 7 and is scheduled to run for two weeks, concluding on September 21. Interested players can sign up through Meta Quest's channel access invitation system to go hands-on with the title ahead of its planned release.
Inspired by games like Diablo, Vaelorys centers on hack-and-slash combat paired with physical, gesture-based spellcasting. Players battle through replayable wilderness and dungeon environments to gather money, artifacts, and new gear that enhances their combat abilities. The game features a full skill tree progression system alongside thirty spells that players can unlock and upgrade as they tackle tougher challenges.
Following the current open playtest, Spellbound Studio plans to launch an Early Access version on Meta Quest this winter. Developer feedback gathered from the community during these testing phases will help shape the game as it continues development toward a full release.
